Use connectors in a chat

Turn connectors on per chat and ask the AI to work with your data.

Once a connector is installed and connected, turn it on in a chat and ask in plain language. The AI decides which of the connector's tools to call.

Turn connectors on for a chat

Use the MCP Connectors button under the message box:

  1. Click MCP Connectors.
  2. Switch on the connectors you want. You'll see "{name} enabled for this chat".
  3. Switch one off the same way ("{name} disabled for this chat").

You can also type ! in the message box - connectors are listed below the regular tools.

Several connectors can be on at once. Each chat remembers its own selection.

Ask away

Be specific about what you want and where:

that are still open, grouped by assignee.

While it works you'll see Using {tool} for each tool call, then the answer.

Good to know

  • Use a model that supports tools. If you see "Tools are not supported for this model", switch models.
  • The AI only sees what the connector allows. Permissions come from the account you connected.
  • Write actions happen for real. If you ask the AI to create an issue or a page, it does. Review what it plans to do before confirming, and start with read-only questions.
