What are MCP connectors?

How connectors let the AI work with Notion, Linear, Gmail and more - and which are available.

MCP connectors plug AI Assistify into the apps you already use - Notion, Linear, Sentry, Gmail and more - so the AI can read and act on your real data, right in the chat.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI to outside services. A service that offers an MCP server exposes a set of tools - search issues, create a page, read a message - and AI Assistify makes those tools available to the model.

In practice, you can ask:

  • "What are the open bugs assigned to me in Linear?"
  • "Summarise the last week of errors in Sentry."
  • "Find my Notion page about Q3 planning and list the action items."

How connectors differ from tools

Tools are single actions you configure yourself. A connector brings a whole set of tools from a service at once, kept up to date by that service.
