Voice input and read-aloud
Dictate messages in 18 languages and have replies read back to you.
Talk instead of typing, and have replies read back to you. Voice works in the browser - there's nothing to install.
Dictate a message
- Click the microphone (Voice Input) under the message box.
- Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
- Speak. Your words appear in the message box as you talk.
- Click the microphone again (Stop Voice Input) when you're done, check the text, and send.
Choose the language
Click the language picker next to the microphone (Voice input language) and pick the language you'll speak. Supported languages include English, Tiếng Việt, 中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Русский, Italiano, Bahasa Indonesia, العربية, עברית, বাংলা, සිංහල, Svenska and తెలుగు.
Your choice is remembered for next time.
Listen to a reply
Hover over any AI reply and click the speaker icon. The reply is read aloud with your device's built-in voice. Click it again to stop.
Troubleshooting
| Message | What to do |

| Voice input isn't supported in this browser. | Use a recent version of Chrome, Edge or Safari. |
| Microphone access was blocked. | Allow the microphone for this site in your browser's site settings, then reload. |
| No microphone was found. | Connect a microphone or headset and try again. |
| Voice input needs a network connection to transcribe speech. | Check your internet connection. |
