Import, export and clear data

Move your data between browsers and devices, keep a backup file, or start fresh. Everything is in Settings → App Data.

What's on the App Data page

• Storage Usage - how much of your browser's storage AI Assistify uses ({percent}% used).
• Storage Details - how much is messages (Messages Data) and how much is settings and other data (System Data).

Export your data

1. Open Settings → App Data.
2. Click Export Data.
3. A JSON file downloads with your chats, models and settings. Keep it somewhere safe.

Import data

1. Open Settings → App Data on the new browser or device.
2. Click Import Data and choose a file you exported.
3. When you see "Data imported successfully, application will now reload.", the app restarts with your data.

If you see "Failed to import data. Please check the file format.", make sure you're importing an unmodified file exported from AI Assistify.

Clear all data

Clear All Data removes everything AI Assistify stored in this browser. You'll be asked to confirm.

Good to know

• Import and export need an account, and are available on paid plans.
• Storage is shared between your browser's local storage and IndexedDB. If you're running low on storage space, export your data and delete old chats.
• Prefer automatic backups? Use Cloud sync.
